Spanx

It is no secret that Nash has a large noggin, but I don't think Spanx are designed to minimize that...

Spelling Turns to Reading

Vaughan has been quite interested in letters and sounds and spelling and reading for a little while now. Well, he can sound out three-letter words and can say the word put together. We are sooooo excited. His spelling list includes: Vaughan, Nash, Mom, Dad, Duck, by memory. He reads *at words, *an words, *it words, etc. Soon he'll be reading "Bat can hit!"
It's going to be time for "Dick and Jane" books, yeah!

Neighbors Come Over to Party

Our friends Aimee and Carmen came over for some fun. We played: drums, played outside, sidewalk chalked, went 'grocery shopping', watched Max & Ruby, jumped like frogs from lily pad to lily pad, and finished up with homemade chocolate chip cookies! Yeah.

Zack and Cody Conspiracy

After constantly begging Mom to buy those ridiculous, no-spoon necessary, you've got-to-be-kidding, yogurts... she caved. Crush Cups are the most eventful dairy products these two have ever seen. Yum? or Yuck?

Back Online!

Mommy's computer has been down for almost two weeks! Finally, the problems seem to be resolved, so we have a lot of catching up to do.

Vet Clinic and Lava Cakes

Dr. Vaughan must have aspirations of going to TAMU Vet School...he was desparately trying to "stop the bleeding."

After all that hard work saving lives, he enjoyed a lava cake that would have made Rachael Ray say, "YUM-O!"

Rain Rain Go Away

After looking at the rain falling for the last 10+ hours, singing nursery rhymes, looking at the birds, watching "Max & Ruby," eating TWO popsicles, sword fighting, chasing Maddie and generally harrassing Mom, I give up! Good Night!

Vaughan "Bob Ross" Segers & Nash "Van Gogh" Segers

So we watch PBS a lot, and our new favorite shows are based on painting techniques. We love the "Happy Painter" and cannot get enough of all things acrylic or scenic or burnt umber. The following is a lovely afternoon with the artists. Oh, and by the way, no-kidding, the boys asked if they could paint and if I could make them cups of warm tea. So refined.
