Mommy Passed Her Driving Test
Mommy is now legal to drive as a resident of the state of Oregon!!! The DMV photo is pretty cute, and the written test is behind her. And honestly, if it were not required to have an Oregon license to enroll Vaughan and Nash into summer camp, Mommy probably would not have ever read the 116 page manual, ever. Really.
The little cuties are anxiously awaiting Tiny Tot Sports and Swim Lessons for Beginners, every day asking when they can go...
In the meantime, we have gone to Errol Hassell Elementary Spring Carnival (it wasn't too Springy; it was rainy and 45'ish). Aimee, across the street, is in Kindergarden there, and it will be Vaughan's school in about a year and a half.
This week it is Farmington Gardens Nursery for more beautiful plants to put inside the house and in the yard...I love the Spring. I think that we'll buy a batch of lady bugs in honor of Aunt Sissy...Maybe some special daisies, too.

Happy Earth Day 2009
We went to see "Earth," the movie, today. It was beautiful. I hope everyone gets an opportunity to go. It was amazing to see how everything is connected. Vaughan explained his theories on "water to ice to snow to water." Quite interesting. My favorites were the polar bears and the artic, the 30 varieties of birds of paradise I've never seen before, the enduring story of the african elephants and certainly, the whales...the awesome whales.
Vaughan and Nash liked it very much. Vaughan kept asking about the 'circle of life' and asking if being eaten hurts. Nash liked the birds and the bears, and the $13.75 worth of popcorn, m&ms and Coke. What a good day!
Good Day, Sunshine
Monday and Tuesday were beautiful days. Blue skies and warm sun. We made new friends at at the park and played soccer. And after a terrific day playing games, popsicles were in order. Nash was so exhausted from all of the play, he fell asleep early, on the floor, in all of his clothes, with the tv playing "American Idol" and his brother pokin' at him, saying "Bubba, you all right?"
Saturday Sidewalk Art
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...Daddy mowed the lawn (we only have 5 minutes worth of lawn, now) and Mommy went shopping. Nash and Vaughan played and played and played. The sidewalk chalk was a calm break from all of the running around and trampoline jumping and swinging. The funniest thing we did was figure out that the teeter totter works well if Mommy and Vaughan or Mommy and Nash pair up against Daddy and Madeline. I always knew she thought she was human!

FAT TUESDAY in April
Well, I gotta tell ya, I went to the gym to meet with a trainer, yesterday. It wasn't pretty. Basically, "out-of-shape" is a severe understatement. The trainer, Ty, was kind during his assessment of my "needs." Although I begged with him not to make me hurt, or sweat, his did both anyway. Am I paying for this? Whatever. We'll see.

Beautiful Day at the Tulip Farm
Lucky for me, my boys still think that flowers are beautiful and don't mind hanging out with mom at a tulip festival. And Jeremy loves seeing me happy...so we had a wonderful, bright, cool day in the country. Mountains and blue skies in the background, fragrant flowers and the fun of a small fair. Splendid.

Boys and Their Toys
Before: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Take On the Triple Dinosaurs"
After: "Turtles Victorious...Big Bird Among Injured"
After: "Turtles Victorious...Big Bird Among Injured"
If all else fails, smash two toys, of any variety, together, and it makes them happy. Today reinforced the idea that you need not have a "plan" when hanging out on the floor and playing. I usually like a theme, or a set of rules or a singular expectation of what is to happen...but I'm a girl.
